Crazy that the largest building under construction in San Francisco is less than 30m taller than ours and somehow has fewer floors. Northern California is fuuucked lmao.

The top of this building looks like a ship, with the bridge sticking out either side.

But it also looks awesome with the black panels and being semi-tell in nature for that area.

What happened to make this block so dense so fast? It went from a couple barely 2 story commercial buildings and a big ol' Winnipeg surface lot to looking like Seoul in less than 10 years. Is it just the effect of this block being zoned as downtown multi-use?

The common thread is all 4 developments on this block were spearheaded by UWCRC2.0.

All 4 developments were built and owned by the University of Winnipeg through the University of Winnipeg Community Renewal Corporation (UWCRC) and their sister organization UWCRC 2.0 Inc.

Agreed. 3 or 4 of them can go on Main St South from St Mary to Broadway & 3 or 4 on Graham Ave between Smith & Fort.

The first residents have started moving in today. I believe there will be a press release in the coming weeks to officially mark the completion of the building.
