City has finally re surfaced the west side stretch of Roxbury Rd leading to the Costco. That section was a goat path of broken pavement and potholes for years with stopgap patches being done.

Access has been re-opened from Second St on to and across Oxford St, just in time for the school year.

Dundas St was also getting its second coat today so hopefully that will fully re-open soon. Unless they plan to do the top coat this fall as well.

Intersection of Oxford and Second will be closed starting Sept 22 for 2 weeks, presumably for sewer connections on the north side of the roadway (the roadway currently being used while the south side is under construction).

Down on Dundas, the eastbound side had its topcoat done overnight and the westbound side should be done overnight tonight. With line painting, I would assume this should be open back to 4 lanes Wednesday

They have reopened the intersection of Cheapside and Williams St and have paved the base coat on Williams north of Cheapside. Southward to Grosvenor is still dirt with alot of concrete sewer pipe segments still stored along the road.

City starts expropriation of property in order to widened Highbury Ave near Hamilton Rd intersection. Many will be just a strip of the front lawn while a few will need to be the entire property.

Maybe time for some police enforcement blitzes of littering laws. I've seen on a few occasions people waiting at the light on the off ramp to Commissioners at Highbury toss their coffee cups out the window.

They have finally opened up all 4 lanes of the Adelaide St N Thames river bridge remediation project. Still haven't finished installing the west side sidewalk railings.

I was pleasantly surprised when I drove down Adelaide yesterday

This project also included resurfacing of Adelaide from Kipps Lane up to Windermere, so I assume that will be done in the spring.

This stretch north of Cheapside along Adelaide is dangerous for alot of reasons.

- No left turn lanes.
- People trying to turn left across 2 lanes of traffic off Victoria and the United grocery store.
- Speeding.
- I've seen people turning left onto Adelaide off Regent St which is right in right out only. (hey traffic signs don't apply to me thinking!)

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/london/3-...ts-at-adelaide-st-intersection-9.7002469

So many examples of stupid road designs deliberately engineered to be dangerous. How many left hand turn lanes at intersections are blind due to the geometry that only requires a vehicle facing you in the opposite left hand turn lane to totally block the view of inside thru lanes? Most intersection collisions are due to left turn events. Traffic engineers know how to improve safety with smart design but don't apply those lessons for some reason.
