Quote:
Westshore Views LLC filed an application with the Department of City Planning to rezone the land at 4302 Westshore Avenue in Gravesend, Crain’s reported. The site is being used as car storage today.

The 737,000-square-foot waterfront development site is contained by an inlet from Gravesend Bay to the west, Calvert Vaux Park to the south and a service road for Shore Parkway to the north.

The proposed project would span 1.5 million square feet and feature 1,457 residential units — roughly 430 of which would be affordable — as well as 24 townhomes. The two high-rise buildings would also include 10,000 square feet of retail space, 80,000 square feet of community facility space, 143,000 square feet of open space and nearly 1,000 parking spaces.

Pretty significant for the local area. The Shoreline aka 2230 Cropsey Ave was the most recent large scale tower to rise in proximity.

42 floors is going to stand out here. Hopefully it sets the stage for further growth, turning it into another cluster. Adding to the nearby Coney Island building spree.

This is massive for the housing, and will be very prominent in south Brooklyn and in the harbors, being on the wateront. Looking forward to detailed renderings.

I’m not too far from there so I’ll be able to see it from my train. Hopefully it’s not just a glass monolith.

Excited for this one.

Absolutely crazy that the entire south coast of Brooklyn isn't lined with highrises.

Beautiful views of the harbor, the ocean, the bridge, etc.
