They have never nailed down the crown with their renderings over the years. I think the most recent render has what appears to be wooden angled slats coming down from the trim and connecting down to the top floor. Pretty sure that's not happening.

I kinda figured that would be the case. This kind of reminds me of the Austonian way back when they showed the entire crown encased in frosted glass and lit. What we got was verrrrry different.

Correct, even the most accurate renderings have a different version of the crown with significantly more concrete beams than what we got.

Here's the latest progress:

Or something like Q1 on the Gold Coast...but, taller. Like, maybe, 1450' with spire (about 1150' to highest occupied floor).

The Luffing crane has been mostly vertical of late. From a distance, it looks like a ~250' spire. I don't much care for spires, but I would make an exception in this case.

Nice photos. I’ve always thought east riverside had the densest views of downtown.

Might as well keep the crane for spire aesthetics

It's neither. Almost like a light brown/beige paneling. The color scheme for this building annoys the shit out of me

Those appear to be sheets of plywood. If that’s the case, it would get some sort of aluminum cladding or finished wood on top. It’s rare to attach the final cladding directly to steel girders.

You sure about that?? They look too uniform to be plywood I hope you're right.

I’m not 100% sure, but how else would they fasten whatever soffit material they’ll be using. Also it looks like 4’x8’ sheets and the top ones appear to be pieced in.

Edit: Upon closer inspection, I see brackets installed and white trim so this may be the final product.

I found some renders of what looks to be the Penthouse Amenity section on the INK+ORO website: Its really interesting to see faintly though the windows the original supertall render of The Wilson in the back.
