It's easy to forget just how large of a stadium that is. Imagine if they filled in the south end zone the way an old architectural model showed it - where it more or less matched the north end zone.

Good thing they didn’t, as that configuration would’ve cut off any southerly breezes and made the lower stands hotter.

skating rink

We noticed that for the holidays there is an ice rink adjacent to the Palmer Auditorium. This is not the best photo it was taken thru a tinted window but I think y'all get the idea....

And that is looking southeast.
The crossoverpass bridge is Riverside drive.
