Single egress stairs won't necessarily result in better architecture, but it will allow for finer grained streets and narrower buildings, meaning that bad architecture won't necessarily be as imposing or create as many negative impacts on the urban environment.

Would be interesting to see the unit mix in seattle for these buildings to see if it actually results in more family sized units. It certainly would make them easier to build, but doesn't necessarily mean it's happening.

From my experience in Seattle, the point access block apartments in central neighbourhoods look great and provide a unique feel to a neighbourhood. It'd be fantastic to have them here!

Some inspo for Surrey, Surrey downtown lacks any older stock of buildings so perhaps some that look older than they are could be added in the mix
