Interesting to see so many of the lots have sold or conditionally sold already. I would imagine they'll be getting going on the building the internal roadway this spring then.

Hopefully the lower density is a nice row house or du/triplexes. The city could use more of them anyways in a more central area. A lot of families have no interest to live in apartments and this way more sprawl isn't needed.

Nah it's going to be like park city plaza in transcona. Except I think kind of a shittier version. Apartments in parking lots, with commercial along Marion.

I saw Carrington signage in the windows of those buildings to be torn down on Provencher at St joseph. Any news on that development?

Just saw public notice signs on the lot at 455 St. Mary's Rd (site of previous building fire across from Guay Park). Further digging on the city's website says it will be for a commercial/residential development just under 60 feet tall. Good to see.. that stretch of St. Mary's needs some TLC.

That would be great! Does anyone have any intel on the old junk yard at the corner of those streets?

This is great news. I've been wondering when some new development would happen on that stretch of St.Mary's...it has such a quaint vibe to it, especially in the summertime with the park and river on one side. But as it is now most of the buildings are looking pretty dilapidated. Hopefully this new building is just the beginning of redevelopment there.

This is fantasticNews can't wait to see the design. It is next door to a minute muffler, so that is the downside. Across the street, the waterfront property has sold also, and I hear a small scale multi family development is going there.

Anvil Tree's workshop recently look over the long-mysterious building at Guay and St. Mary's as well. Could be a little turning point for the strip.

always wondered what with that "ugly" industrial building, interesting to hear that milling lumber is now occurrng. I'm "assuming" this is temporary?

I thought there was a mention or rumour about the old junk yard lands being developed in conjunction with the land at the corner of Dumoulin and St Joseph. Then there is also the develop on Dumoulin itself behind the Carrington mentioned project.

Presentation for a consultation on a proposed mixed use building further east along Provencher next to the Belgian Club.

The design concept they landed on looks pretty good to me. Way better than the parking off to the side of the property option.

great project, moving Provencher developments further east will only bode well for all of Provencher. in my opinion (and many others) such a jewel of an area that moving slower than it should

That's awesome for this location. Geeting rid of those run down houses will be a nice treat. I wonder if the software place will take up residence in the new commercial space or if they're gone elsewhere.

Are there details of the finish material? Looks like there's texture, but EIFS would be my guess based on their other projects.

pretty sure the floors above the podium are EIFS....hopefully the Collonade is masonry.

I definitely liked the first design much better....it was more modern, but I like this one too.....i just wish they could move it over to take the empty site next door so they wouldn't have to tear down the two little old buildings on the site.
