No urbanist would write such garbage.
Buildings obviously form cities. Buildings with small footprints are frequently the best kinds of buildings, because they preserve exiting historic stock and create greater pedestrian-level variation.
Skinny towers are generally fantastic for Manhattan's urban form. Zoning should encourage more skinny towers.
