Nope, this is one block east of the car wash. (Google Street View - 390 Main Street West)

Here's what the site currently looks like.

Thanks for the clarification.

I hope that over time we see the car wash and all the other strip malls and sh*t get filled in with proper developments.

He's smart. If I had money right now, I'd be buying up land like crazy in downtown Hamilton. Once the downtown starts growing, and interest continues more naturally, the land is going to be worth a ton, and condos and rentals will be going for much higher than they are even now.

I'm tracking condos for sale on Realtor.ca and they really don't seem to be moving. Prices are either coming down or units are sitting for sale for months on end. It can only get worse with more supply of condos coming on the market.

The market is stagnating a bit. The other issue is that most condos in Hamilton are mediocre from a middle class point of view. People are waiting for new builds, like TV city and Platinum et cetera.

The market will inevitably pick up again, just as it always has.

one issue to keep in mind is that there aren't any condos in Hamilton like TV City and whatever else Lamb plans to build.
Our condos are dated, small, and lack amenities.

He could sell several buildings worth of 21st Century condos while our old stock still sits on the market for months or years.

I think you might have meant to post this on the 117 Jackson St E thread, no?
