Could one of the mods please fix the error in the thread title? It should be SHENZHEN and not SHEZNHEN of course.

Isn't there already a thread for this tower? Anyways, I like it. Specially that atrium at the top. Looks very modern and sophisticated. I also like that big egg like structure inside the atrium. Looks like a rocket launching pad or something. And that oval thing is gonna take off any minute.

its amazing, by far the best tower ive seen in china yet, and that resturaunt at top, or whatever it is, its a neat idea! it does kinda look like a few existing towers blended together, but its still beautiful

This tower is probably Shenzhen's anwser to the West Tower in Guangzhou.
It reminds me of the Citic Plaza - Shun Hing Square rivalry twelve years ago.

It´s so beautiful. Especially this structure inside at the top. It looks just like two cockpits.

What's so great about this top ? It'll be barely visible from the street... if at all.
It'll mostly be a gift to entertain pigeons.

It's not that you'll be able to see it from any angle. It's the design, and what's included inside. Not many buildings have such a structure. Although some have large atrium's at the top, they don't have a cool, round looking, space ship appearing structures inside their atrium's.

I like the tower design overall, but I do agree the inside roof structure is useless.

LOL!
Agreed, but how cool would it to be up in that top piece on a nice sunny day

The tower itself is very nice.

This seems like it belongs in site prep, not construction forum. All I see is dirt being moved around. Any photos of some actual foundation drilling equipment? I just see a lot of excavators and dumptrucks.

The buildings design is ok. Nothing too special. Similar shape to Pearl River Tower, but lacking any of the features that make that design special, aside from the near duplication of its rooftop concept.

... and the fact that it's much taller.
I prefer the elegance of the Shenzhen version.

Care to elaborate? What is more elegant about it?

It's more slender.
The features that make the Pearl River Tower special, will probably make it disturbing in the long term.
I may change my mind when I see the final product, but I doubt it.

Simplicity works best imo, especially in the case of tall skyscrapers that are, by all means, eye-catchers. No need to add distinctive features or big ornaments.
