Austin Forum Meet - 4/13/08 - 11am - @ Austin City Hall plaza

The last one that was held was back in December I think. Anyone game to do it again say in the next couple of weekends? Meet at Whole Foods and walk downtown?

I'm always game for these meetups. Good time to start arranging the next one!

I'd be up for that. KILO from the forum also had PMed a few days ago saying he'd be in Austin in a couple of months. Not sure of the exact time frame. But I suggested to him that maybe we could do a forum meet then also and show him around downtown. I seem to remember there was another forumer that was saying they'd be in Austin within the next few weeks/months too.

Anyone know exactly when 360 will turn on the lights? I heard April, but does anyone know the date?

I'm up for it. Not this weekend, though. Any time after that, for sure. But like MichaelB, I'm always walking around downtown. More accurately hobbling right now, since I hurt my knee again.

Yeah, not this weekend for me either. The weekend after that is a possibility. I'm looking to buy a mountain bike soon, and should have it by the 11th. I'm wanting to take it on a test ride, and the day of the forum meet would be perfect. So maybe on the 13th?

I talked to Greg this afternoon, and he said he'd be up for it also. He said he could go either this Sunday or next. I'm holding out for the 13th though.

Add another name, with a possible friend, for the walk-about Forum Meet.

I wonder if a walk down Waller Creek is something anyone is interested in doing sometime. I have wanted to do this for 15 years and still have not found anyone interested. The creekside will be much different in just a few years.

Last time we focused more on the western side of downtown. We should concentrate on Eastern side this time. We could meet at Congress Ave, check out Altavida and Austonian progress, walk over to Four Seasons, from there go to new 21c area, and on to Shore.

I suppose was could walk along Waller Creek some, just to see what bad shape it's in now, and imagine what it will be like in 8 years or so.

And since the creek goes right by my place you guys can come check out our unit at the Sabine. Sounds like a good time for a forum party to me!

That sounds good. There are some really nice views and photo-ops around the Mexican Cultural Museum. I'd like to wander over to Legacy again too.

The 13th sounds awesome! What time to meet? I have something at 3pm that day so the earlier the better!
