"why do they leave open boxes of cherries in the counters (and cherries everywhere)??? That's disgusting."
Ambiance.
I have no idea what you're talking about. I find the placement of the toilet paper and tampons (Same aisle as cookies
) and the butter being in an aisle instead of on the edge (stupidest idea ever!) to be bigger drawbacks than random cherries floating about the store.
"I also find disgusting the fact that there are (apparently anywhere) no gloves provided to pick produce... God knows which hands had touched it!"
Wash them? That's what you're supposed to do. You can use soap if you want.
"And also the way the deli products are handled... grrrrr. They should learn to respect food way more."
Yes, the deli is absolutely filthy. Covered in a layer of grease and always has overflowing garbage. That was my least favourite part of the job. (Although throwing the bags of garbage into the chute was a ton of fun, especially with the milk, which has to be frozen before being thrown out - the little yoghourts explode when they hit the sides!
I got in trouble for that once.
)
Also bad is
Renco Foods. Aside from the violations listed in the CFIA notice, their produce and service is shitty. Easily the worst place to buy groceries between St John's and Vancouver.
