Downtown Omaha: Face the Sunrise
These were taken early in the morning the Saturday before Christmas. I was heading out of town that day but got up early to take some pics before leaving.
Waking Up!
Exterior brick of my building.
The Downtown YMCA
Woodmen, City Hall, Exchange Building, old car garage
Garage against City Hall.
The Rose Theater. Beautiful on the outside and in. It's a children's theater.
I went to many field trips there.
Top of the Rose.
Service Life against FNC.
Service Life, Farm Credit, and the Telephone Building.

View west towards Midtown. Old Endron HQ, Mutual of Omaha, Kiewit, Berskhire Hathaway, and UNMC (far left).
Paxton Condos (foreground) overlooking the Old Market. Notice the extreme hill in the picture. Omaha is not flat like people think it is.

***DESCRIPTION ABOVE PICS***
Redick Hotel & Barker building. This intersection of DT is becoming very active with the Paxton going condo and new restaurants from high-end to sandwich shops moving in. The Barker is going to be residential but it has been a VERY slow process with the owner/developers.
Paxton Block. Work is now done on these buildings. They now house a tanning salon, 2 nightclub/lounges, a cajun restaurant, and a sandwich shop. On the other side of the block is a bank and steak house.
Barker Building. Major potential.
Orpheum Tower and Orpheum Theater.
1600 Farnam, Woodmen, and top of Omaha Building.
FNC, Brandies, Central Park Plaza. Notice the two guys on the top.
A staircase I'd like to get to.
World/Qwest and Paxton surronding the Holland Center. The Bluffs of Council Bluffs Iowa in the background.
Landmark Center reflecting the skyline
CPP, UPC, World/QWest, Paxton & Landmark Center
The Regis, 1600, & FNC. The End.
