SAN ANTONIO | Official Meet Up Thread

I think it is time for a IRL SA forum meet up.

A little walking tour of downtown construction and potential construction sites would be nice.

It would also be fun to put faces to all the faceless screen names.

Count me in. We can make a pub crawl out of it too. There are several watering holes in around the building action down there.

I'd suggest Ubering though, as getting around DT in a vehicle is hairy these days.

I sticked this thread because I think it’s a great idea and hopefully this will draw the most attention to it.

Count me in! Hope its not on a Saturday since that is when I shoot weddings and quince every weekend.
I like to walk vs the uber, not to say I won't go if you all uber, I will just walk or take my car. I know where all the free parking areas are downtown.

I'm thinking Sunday September 25th or Sunday October 2nd.

That gives everyone enough time to plan and put on their calendars.

Possibly very late afternoon to bypass some direct afternoon sun.

Thoughts?

I'm still hoping to have a meet up, but I'm not seeing much activity in this thread. I've got a route in mind of some things to see.

Well, there doesn't seem to be much activity here in the meetup thread. That's okay. I'm still going to go. Hopefully some of you will show. I've got a route through downtown starting at the Milam Building to HemisFair. So, we'll meet at Soledad & Travis (Milam Building) at 9am. We'll wait 15 minutes for any stragglers.

I hope to see you tomorrow.

I was there. No one showed.

One guy parked a car and got out with some camera equipment. He starting taking pictures of the construction, and I thought for sure he was from skyscraperpage. He looked at me, and then turned heel and walked away. Another guy walked by and seemed like he wanted to say something but didn't. He walked down halfway down the block and then started taking pictures. I waited until 9:25. Then I said 'fuck it' and went home.

C'est la vie!

I would really like to meet up and talk to people that are very much passionate on development around the SA area. I didn't see the other posts in time to meet you there, that was my fault.

Unhappy I feel bad...

If didn't live in Wyoming, I would have shown up for sure. Man that's sad. Were they scared of how you looked or something? I appreciate you constant contributions to this thread. Thank You for this!

I totally didn't see this till now, or I would have been there.

I think we should try again.

I didn't even know the location where to meet.

I didn't see this. In the future, it might be good to coordinate using discord or something, which allows live and instant communication. Be sure to let me know if y'all ever do this again.
