RRRRRRROOOOOLLLLL up the RIM to lose

source: TanyaKim's rectum

Alright, 15 coffee's into the contest, and all I have won is some coffee dregs on my hands/shirt.

Four years ago, I remember winning 5 times in a row (alas, only crap like free coffee, donuts, and a bagel once). Never any of the cool shit.

So, what have you won? If anything? Tell us your odds so far.

I am currently 0/15. (sounds a bit like the Marble Loafs' record)

I won a free coffee by not drinking that milky crap Tims calls coffee, but by going to McDonalds to take advantage of their free coffee (which is actually pretty decent).

I have never, ever, in 25 years of this contest being around heard of anyone I know personally, nor secondhand, nor thirdhand, nor anyhand - winning a single damn thing other than "free" coffee or a donut. It's like the Monopoly game at McDonald's.

Now, I'm not going to say they're a scam, but it feels like for 500 million coffee cups, they give out 6 "real" prizes. All while annoying me to death with their idiotic commercials.

I swear, back when I drank coffee I didn't mind Tim's product - but their annoying overplayed advertising completely turned me off the brand. Plus this stupid contest. I can't count the number of times people would get visibly upset with me for throwing out a coffee cup. Who the hell cares, I'm not going to carry around some dirty cardboard just for the 1:20 chance to save a damn dollar. People are stupid enough about this that guys who use re-usable insulated travel mugs actually ask for the cups during this contest. Way to think about the environment only when it's convenient, boys!

I don't think there's a Canadian institution that I loathe more than Tim Horton's. Friend in from the UK last night and it literally took 3 minutes from turning the TV on until he saw one of their commercials.

Yeah I'm on the free coffee train this week as well. As it would happen the lineups at the Tim Horton's in Union Station are huge and I can just run to McDonald's before my train to get a free coffee in no time. Well, I usually get a large and just pay the difference, which is nice. Their coffee is quite a bit better, though they have a habit of putting way too much milk and sugar in. I shudder to think what someone who orders a "double double" (how I loathe that expression) is drinking.

Yup! but of course I felt obligated to buy something, so I ordered some delicious Egg McMuffins too.

I like those because they use actual eggs, not that simulated shit Tims has.

I didn't know Tim's did this. Robin's has for a while. What they use is an egg product that is packed into a chub (like a giant sausage of scrambled egg wrapped in plastic); they can cut off perfect round slices and re-animate it in the microwave. Somehow this is cheaper and easier than putting the egg into the metal loop thing.

Another reason to stay the fuck away from eggs.

I'm sorry, but complaining about Tim Hortons while still buying their product is like complaining about Walmart's corporate ethics while shopping there. If you hate it so much, why do you still go there?

And didn't this start just last week? You're buying two coffees a day from them? What the hell? You're like an abused woman sticking up for her violent boyfriend. Should we hold an intervention for you?

Last year during final project time at college, the campus Tim's got a workout. I was pulling 8AM - 1AM school days, so I was going there often.

I was, I kid you not... 0-53 before finally winning a doughnut.

0/1 this year, thanks to less stress, and being at a job where there isn't a Tim's attached to the building.

I've won once this year. I've already lost track of how many coffees I've had.

Last year I won exactly once, and it wasn't even at home. I won a donut at a Tim Hortons in Toronto. In 2009 my winning percentage was close to 50%.

I saw this thread and immediately knew what it was about. I'm 0 for 6, and so far nobody at the office has won anything yet. Our office is roughly 0 for 20.

A couple of years ago, I was winning about 3 or 4 out of every 10.

I'd Roll Up The Rim but the only thing I have ever know any one to win at Tim Hortons is a cup of burnt weak coffee.

The Nationalist Add thing makes me sick! Let some other Nation wake up with a cup of crap.

Yesterday I had a Tim Hortons franchise owner give me a free $2 Tim card. I guess this is his way competing with McDonald's free coffee.

I haven't been to Timmy's yet this year, so I'm oh for oh.

But one of the local radio guys is Oh for 16 at the moment.

Of course the late afternoon guy had to taunt his 1 for 1 average.

Too bad Montreal anarchists haven't taken up fire-bombing Tim Hortons, or better still the Montreal mafia puts out a contract on that singing dork who appears on their commercials...crime scene investigators " looks like the victim was killed by having his head shoved into a vat of boiling Tim Horton's coffee ...oh and the guitar sticking out of ass didn't help either"

I'm currently 0 for 6.

But 4 for 7 at Country Style with their version

And do you mean one of the hottest teams in the east?

I won a coffee, and that coffee won me a doughnut!

When pulling 16+ hour days at school for a charrette, it really put a smile on my face.

But if you want a free coffee, go to Mickie-Dees! They've got free coffee right now, at least in my neck of the woods.

0 for 3.

They say their odds of winning a prize are 1 in 6 this year.. weren't they 1 in 9 last time?

Tim Hortons is the worst coffee in the world... the real 'win' is to avoid.

McDonald's coffee is far superior, along with their egg mcmuff

Does anyone find Tim Hortons doubles doubles very inconsistent in proportion depending on location? I loathe when I'm given 3 parts cream and 1 sugar and I've left the store and already on the subway. Seriously, most of the workers are retarded.
