Red face TORONTO | 110-150 Eglinton Ave East | 237 M / 777 FT | 61 FLOORS X4

A gigantic proposal for Eglinton Ave East has been approved. A 47 floor mixed use tower, with retail, offices and residences had been approved by the city on the 22nd of May, 2018. Full office replacement is in place, something that's been difficult for the city to enforce unfortunately.

I took these photos two years ago:

Wish this was being developed on the site next door with the ugly blue/red glass building instead. Itd be a shame to lose this early modernist building.

I agree. I used to pass by this row all the time as a kid, and will soon. Their a lovely series of building along Eglinton. That building wouldn't be the greatest to demolish because of the community centre there, but I get what you mean. Even toward Mount Pleasant...those smaller ones aren't so lovely architecturally. I love the feeling this building gives, especially to the buildings nearby.

This is the latest iteration of this project. Info thanks to UT.

Scrap the above update. These are now 61-floor twins at 777 ft (seen below with 110 Eglinton Ave W., which looks virtually identical).

Great! I wonder if I should start a thread for 110 Eglinton, or just keep it here. It seems they are quasi or in fact the same development.

I renamed it 110-150 Eglinton E... so the 2 projects will be merged.

Thanks. It's quite tough keeping track of all that's going on in this city with more proposed projects popping up so often.

Should just go with twin supertalls... that might be more efficient than 4 skyscrapers.
