票選國鳥 台灣藍鵲最旺

聯合新聞網╱記者林宛諭／溪湖報導 2007-01-13 01:52



網路票選國鳥活動開放四天，已經有十八萬人次投票，目前台灣藍鵲以九萬八千多票暫時領先，其次依序是帝雉、黃山雀、藍腹鷴，票選活動到三月底，六大國家公園也印製選票，讓無法上網投票的民眾，也可以參與投票。

民眾可上http://www.birdingintaiwan.com台灣國際觀鳥...個國家。

中華民國野鳥學會榮譽理事長廖世卿說，帝雉、黃山雀、藍腹鷴原本被列為瀕臨絕種的保育鳥類，在國家公園成立並立法保護後，聯合國ＩＵＣＮ世界自然聯盟提出的調查紅皮書把這三種鳥類從瀕臨絕種物種除名，列為「接近受脅」鳥類，可說是台灣生態保育的一大進步。

楊宗哲說，美國的國鳥是白頭海鵰、印尼是天堂鳥、法國是公雞，而台灣有獨特的生態環境，希望藉由選出的國鳥，讓全世界都知道台灣的山林、生態之美。

they all look beautiful but not graceful enough to be a national bird imho. they look too gawdy and too lame.

the blue bird looks fine. at least better than korea and japan's...

wish there was something like falcon, which kicks ass

There are many other spieces of falcon/birds in Formosa. I will update u guys when my laptop is repaired...

taiwan should replicate a bird based on the bald eagle. taiwanese are very good at copying.

this bird is nice looking but it's got ugly feet. don't you all hate it when something's hot looking but has ugly feet?

i know.... it's like seeing a hot guy in the shower at the gym and then u look down and see that he has six toes...
