well, i wouldn't say it is particularly nice nor tourist orientated. this neighborhood could be something special, but has a hell of a long way to go.

They used this district to stand in for the Jewish ghetto in The Pianist.

I found Praga to be one of the most interesting parts of Warsaw when I visited. There are lots of genuine, century old houses preserved (not very well preserved tho...) while on the other side of the river it's either post war buildings or reconstucted old buildings. That was my impression at least.

This city is always interesting to see. Some of those buildings needs a little bit of tender care and they will be so amazing looking.
