I don't think that's a City property - I think it's owned by the Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation. Why would they want to sell the land? They will no doubt redevelop the site to a density similar to Ashley Mar as non-market housing just as they have at Heather Place.
I don't think the City of Vancouver own houses in Point Grey, but there is land where privately owned leasehold houses were built on City-owned land over 40 years ago, with a pre-paid lease until 2040. It looks like it was intended to be an addition to Locarno Park, but that was only partially followed through. There's only one Shaughnessy house owned by the City, as far as I know. It's Glen Brae, a 1910 heritage mansion that was left to the City by Elisabeth Wlosinski in 1991, to be converted into the Canuck Place children's hospice.
