With regard to the northern territories.

Labrador and Nunivik should be part of the sticky. Work in these regions is considered remote work.

Nunavik is the region of Quebec north of 55.

On the other hand, Nunavik is supposed to be covered by the Quebec forum and Labrador is covered by the Atlantic forum. But alright, for the sake of this thread, this thread is open to that discussion too.

Since you included Labrador, here's some general news.

Labrador City copes with booming development

Labrador City is growing rapidly and keeping pace with development is a rising challenge for the municipality.

The growth comes in the wake of several announcements by the big mining companies in the area. The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is going through an expansion that is expected to see up to 900 new permanent positions. . . .

Building up might be the best option . . . because the town doesn’t have much land to spare.

Some of the places you listed are not in the Territories. Canada's North traditionally includes more than just the Territories, but now I noticed the thread title says "Territories".

Yeah, sorry. Someone changed the name on me, I listed those places thinking it should be more about Northern Canada, the places that are under-represented in this forum. But having the title "Territories" sounds a bit nicer and works well with the context I guess. However, I am including Labrador into the name and list as we speak.

In a broader, and somewhat historical sense, Territories could be expanded to include anything that was once Rupert's Land. So with that thinking the northern portions of the western provinces could still be considered part of Canada's Territories.

Rupert's Land's former territory includes the Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton and Calgary regions. The Territories, Nunavik, Former Keewatin and Labrador are good enough.

Ontario's far north is about as remote as Labrador (accessible only by air), and is becoming a mining hotspot. Currently the only proposals, other than mines, is a large power plant north of Geraldton. This is all south of 55° though.
