That's a Ruxton. Front wheel drive and also a make that used the unusual "Woodlite" headlights. Who's the gal? Hmmm...somewhere on the thread I think we might have seen this pic--the "45th St" and what appears to be "1st Ave" signs look familiar. Looks like a movie lot.

Interesting in that the building started out as a Durant dealership--a mighty ambitious project for a small car company that had just had a two-year suspension of sales. Anyway, neither Durant's tenancy or the car would last too long.

Sam Bennett is listed in L.A. Ford dealer advertising at 237 S Vermont as early as January 1931. Looks like he'd moved from another Mediterranean-style building at the s/e corner of Beverly and Juanita. (It's gone too.)

It would make sense that Norma Talmadge would have something to do with the Granville Apts as the Norman design is similar to her late '20's beach house on Santa Monica Beach near the pier (still standing). Also home for a while to Gary Cooper and "housemate" Randolph Scott in the early '30's.

This is one of Walt Disney's several offices....There was one on display at Disneyland a few years ago. Many of the really wonderful displays that were at Disneyland are long gone.

You have a point, but would that mean the night photo used as a reference was a print from a reversed negative? If that is the case, and we are facing east, where is the Fox Theater of which construction began in '30? Conversely, could it be that the reference image below is correctly printed and we are actually looking toward the west? From the largest image, it looks to me like the course entrance was on the SW corner. The intervening street between the theater and the course would have been N. Hamilton - where the Rooster Cogburn sits.

Also looks like an auto accident to me. Probably a confused or distracted motorist trying to find the poorly marked Wilshire Links.
