Red face TORONTO | 576 Sherbourne | 708 FT, 215.75 M | 63 FLOORS

This was announced last May, but never posted here. It just got a small increase in height. Info and pics thanks to UT and member Northern Light.

576 Sherbourne: a proposed 63-storey condominium and rental-replacement building designed by Arcadis for the Alterra Group of Companies on the southwest corner of Linden and Sherbourne Street, in Downtown Toronto.

Love the base, but the funky cornice on the crown sticks out a bit too far and comes off looking like a hat. Just needs some arms and googly eyes and we're all set!

Otherwise it's not half bad.

^The hat is a skosh prominent, but otherwise I rather like it. This sort of boxy scraper, with balconies to give it texture and a colour other than grey, grey-blue, or grey-green, is right up my alley.
