Yeah, this will go over like a lead zeppelin.

Even if approved on a smaller scale, it won't become attractive. It represents the Waterloozation of the neighbourhoods surrounding the McMaster campus (which is probably inevitable)

I can't wait for this s**t storm to start on this one. We all can guess what the nimby's will say and I think some of it may be true this time.

I would bet we will get a lot of people out who believe in the BANANA theory on this one.
build absolutely nothing anywhere near anything

This is the type of proposal that every landowner should know that it will never be approved, ever.

Oooof yeah the neighborhood is NOT gonna be happy about this. As much as a gigantic parking lot is a terrible use of that land, these "commie block" looking towers aren't much of an upgrade. This kind of thing would look a lot better on Main itself or beside a GO station or something.

That is some Waterloo-esque slabbing. And a giant parkade...

I'll guess they're hoping to build maybe half the density to look reasonable.

I think at best, a couple of 12-storey buildings would have a better chance of approval...

It would be interesting to see the city call their bluff and approve it, and see what they would actually build.
