What's that big bloated building thing off to the west of DT?

Fantastic photos, totally dig the airport shots (particularly the one with the TED plane).

I think that's the Las Vegas city hall and/or Clark County government buildings. I think.

Those are amazing shots. That city is unreal. Here's a question, how many hotel rooms are there in Las Vegas?

Yes, that's the first two phases of the World Market Center, a huge showroom center that is to have many more phases.

The city sure is ugly from the air. Your photos are amazing, though.

Well over 100,000 the last time I checked. I think it's closer to 120,000 honestly...

My least favorite city. Skyscrapers without any urban context are an abomination. Nice pics, however.

Agreed. Someone tell me, what are the advantages of living in a high-rise condo in such an environment? Why on earth would anyone choose to live in a "luxury condo" where they still had to hop in their car to get anywhere? If these were low market apartments I could understand, but why would anyone with a choice and the ability to live wherever they wanted choose a high-rise condo in the middle of suburbia? I really don't get it. Is it really all about the trendiness factor?

Aside from that whole discussion though, flawless pics as usual KC. Great stuff.

^ I would have to think it's the trendiness factor... Las Vegas is a city that
thrives on fantasy. Great photos KC

Was just in Vegas. It's fun, but what an urban mess. You have vacant desert fields, huge resorts, small 1950's 2 story ugly apartment complexes. I guess it's just how you'd picture building a huge spread out resort town in the middle of the desert. It would take decades to fill in all the open sand lots sprawling all over and low rise places.

I had a blast though! The strip is amazing, get ready for LOTS of walking.

From the air it doesnt look so good. A big mess really. To me, the city only looks good at night when Im too blinded by lights to really see anything coherently
