Talking Cities in the year 2100

Just came across this Youtube channel, looks like a lot of fun.

Of course you have to take these scenarios with a grain of salt.

Didn't we have some listicle where maybe Austin was the largest city on earth in 2100? I'm sure Nashville would be in that hype train too.

Minus the goofy looking cars and neon lighting, isn't that how Charlotte and Columbus already look now? It seems unlikely that Savannah is going to build a bunch of office towers any time soon, though.

Shouldn't all of these places be under water and on fire at the same time?

Won't Lagos, Nigeria have something like 789,483,210,571 people in 2100?

It's pretty much how Charlotte already looks, at least -- even down to that weird signature shade of blue. You see that color everywhere in Charlotte, from the Panthers logo to all the glass they use on all the faceless, generic office towers.

To get a sense of how our cities' skylines might change over the next 75 years, it could be helpful to go back ~75 years and compare to today.

If we believe the movie "Back to the Future", we should have had something similar by 2015. And flying cars.

I don't recall Okotoks' projected growth but I'm sure it's in that ballpark too.
