Magoo1125's Diagram Menagerie

Hello everyone! New here - figured I'd introduce myself!
I'm a recent graduate from Pratt Institute School of Architecture in Brooklyn, NYC. I've lived here in the NY metro area for most of my life, and been in Brooklyn full time for the past 6 years now...

I have been getting my feet wet with submitting diagrams. Thought I'd also include some extras for you guys here too

My first submission was for the Flatiron building (https://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?buildingID=1482). For a different project, I did a much higher resolution pixel art of the facade, which I texture mapped onto a basic 3D form of the building. I thought it would be interesting to see what this looked like scaled down - so I experimented with rendering it at the 1px=1M scale. I'll have to try some animations...

It turned out... Kinda crusty? But it was a fun experiment regardless. I experimented with different algorithms/dithering for the downscale, and added some shading to the faces so it's more clear which side is facing away from the viewer, for the final diagrams that I submitted.

My current focus is on drawing buildings around Brooklyn that haven't been drawn yet. There are quite a few significant buildings that don't have diagrams! Also I have a big interest in strange proposals from architects that have been lost to history. All these are just drawn directly at the 1px=1M scale in Photoshop.

Brooklyn Crossing (https://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=62766)

Roche-Dinkeloo proposal for the Federal Reserve Tower in Manhattan (https://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?buildingID=99152)

My most recent drawing is for 80 Flatbush, Tower 1 (https://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?buildingID=113346 - atm I'm still awaiting approval for this one. So you guys get a sneak peek...) This building is known as 505 State Street now, and is essentially completed. It has a super reflective facade, and an interesting stepped triangle design which I tried to capture in my diagram.

Thanks for reading! Happy to take suggestions. There are a couple significant proposals for towers that have changed designs since the last diagrams have been submitted, so I'm thinking I'll take a look at those as well. Also I definitely want to experiment more with using 3D models in this kind of workflow, I think it'd be cool to be able to share 3D work here as well-and it makes drawing different views of buildings much quicker, once the facade elevations are drawn.
Peace!

Hello and welcome!

Your drawing of the Flatiron Building is really impressive, I must say.

New submission - Dock 72 here in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It's a pretty cool building, but tricky to see irl because the whole navy yard complex is off limits to the public at the moment (unless you are persistent..)

Some bonuses!

Cheers!
