the BeAUtIfUl CaPiTaL Of CoLoMbIa....AmAzInG

a city in central Colombia, is the country's capital, located at an elevation of about 2,650 m. / 8,660 ft. on a mountain rimmed plateau high in the Cordillera Oriental of the Andes Mountains. This gives it constant spring like weather. It lies only 4°36' north of the equator.
Bogotá is a cosmopolitan city in continuous expansion. It is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas, not only in Colombia, but also in South America. Its almost 8 million inhabitants include a multitude of immigrants from all over the world, which makes the capital a true microcosm of the nation. Modern highrises and skyscrapers contrast with old houses of colonial and republican architecture. Bogotá offers residents and visitors everything that a modem city can give. Cultural activities abound and its enormous selection of restaurants, bars and nightclubs offers all kinds of food and entertainment.

REally nice looking! I love those ten story residential towers that look like German Villas.

And this picture is really inspiring:

It looks like the skyscrapers are fingers reaching towards the beautiful blue skies. Very pretty!

Nice thread but these do not appear to be your pics. They should probably go in the found city photo forum.

When people talk about "Developing countries" like China or India or certain South American countries, they are not talking about houses and skyscrapers: It is referring to the economy and jobs. The quality and quantity of jobs and Gross Domestic Product.

nice! It's so diverse architecturally and evironmentally. It looks like Spain in one picture, Italy in another and an alpine village in the next ... how wonderful!

Bogotá is definitely one of my favorite cities in the Americas (I even like its name).

I admire the transformation Bogotá underwent recently. It looks like a really "pedestrian-friendly" city, with neat public spaces.

I love Bogotá... I'd love to be dropped right down in the middle of it (and have a greater knowledge of the Spanish language).
