Anyone who pays attention to the St. Louis office market knows that Centene Corp. plans to build a second building in downtown Clayton.
The company isn't talking publicly about the office project even though demolition is underway of the existing buildings on the site at Forsyth Boulevard and South Hanley Road.
But some solid information about the project got out Tuesday at the annual SIOR Metro Market Forecast at the Ritz-Carlton, in Clayton.
Jim Mosby, executive managing director at Cushman & Wakefield in Clayton, told the crowd at the breakfast event that Centene is planning a 20-story, 500,000-square-foot building across Hanley from its 17-story headquarters, which opened in 2010.
Mosby said the building is expected to be completed in early 2019.
