Birks Clock outside Jackson Square

Just noticed today that the clock is missing.
Anyone heard anything?

Are they repairing it?

It's in storage for now. It'll be repaired and relocated inside at the newly renovated Farmers' Market once it's open.

Well--it'll be great to see it functional again--that's the main thing. I always hated it's placement outside JS--it looked as out of place as it did when it was bolted to the side of 1 James South...made about as much sense as putting it at Lime Ridge where Birks still does business. In the market, out of the elements, is the best place.

They really need a good public clock downtown though, most cities have one. I don't wear a watch so I never know what time it is when I'm downtown.

No watch, Flar? Good for you--couldn't do it--no watch would be like no coffee.

i don't wear one either and it's always been a complaint of mine. the few clocks we have can't be relied upon to tell the correct time. i find it very telling of the general state of repair of downtown.

Lol, I couldn't tell what day it is without my watch, never mind what time it is!
