Tim Hortons

Join this facebook group... I thought it'd be a good idea to create a group to officially denounce Tim Hortons use of non-biodegradable, non-recyclable cups. The official goal is 10,000 before I make the initial contact.

Tim Hortons is the market leader in coffee (in Canada) and they produce thousands of tons of landfill waste every month. Joining this group may not amount to much, but in high numbers, a little goes a long way.

I don't think this is the appropriate venue to denounce Tim Hortons.

They are techincally using Facebook to do it. They are just announcing it here. How's it any different than telling everyone how good it is at the new Yuki Sushi place on Main (Winnipeg folk will know what place I'm talking about)?

BTW, I do agree that Timmy-Ho's does suck (no rude comments, please). Mostly very ugly building's, too (there, construction related).

Getting a bunch of Canadians to denounce Tim Hortons???? Good luck.

You may want to try the Vancouver section though. They drink Starbucks.

This is still skyscraperpage.com right? While I normally support any anti-Tim Hortons initiative its usually in protest of their shit food/coffee and long lines. I have a feeling that a buildup of non recyclable paper cups is not going to kill me faster than all the carcinogens and climate change.

It is somewhat excessive when they hand out two cups for one coffee. It's not that hot!

The one in Gulf Canada Square is cash only. Or it was last time I was there.

I guess that would be one of the ones I haven't been to in Calgary! Although I have seen the new mastercard swipe thing at most locations in town now.

I've come across sleeves for Tim Hortons coffee cups recently. Although they still use those crappy lids. Ugh...

Sorry, what were we talking about??

I prefer Robins. They have always used sleeves for their coffees, and unlike Tim Horton's, their hot chocolate tastes like hot chocolate! Every time I have hot chocolate at Tim's, it tastes like wax.

And Robin's has pizza pretzels and Persians. Tim's doesn't even come close to Robin's in terms of coffee-houseness. I demand my coffee to be served by a frumpy middle aged woman with yellow teeth, goddammit!
