I'm confused. Are these actual proposals or another River North "if planners ruled the world this is what we would build" type document?

Considering the city put requests for interest (RFI) for development for these 7 acres not too long ago as well as Casey Development being apart of this development as well as Gloria Estefan and her husbands company. These buildings and this overall development seem legit. I'm sure more will come out soon.

I really like the steps down to San Pedro creek. Hopefully that planned hotel is something that will stand out. It's on the old jail location. It better not be a cookie cutter box like all of the other hotels lately.

It seems they hired FR-EE to design it. Have a look at their designs, it won't be cookie cutter. Far from it.

Judging by this article http://www.mysanantonio.com/real-est...#photo-9336786 the hotel will be built along Commerce where the Continental Hotel is located, constructed in the lot immediately behind. Just what downtown needs, another hotel.

Yes! my mistake!

I mean, at least the whole zone will be mixed use, which is good. I just hope there's bottom retail in EVERY building.

There seems to be a difference between the rendering for what is styled as the "Continental" hotel and the description for the same which appears in the project propaganda. The rendering looks like it is about 22 or 23 stories, while the article refers to it as a 15-story structure. Are they talking about two different buildings? If so, is the other a projected office tower?
