Stateline, NV

Stateline is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Nevada. The population is around 600.

Stateline sits at the border with California, and also sits on the southeastern shore of Lake Tahoe. As a border community in Nevada, it is a gambling haven, giving people coming from California gambling as soon as possible on their journeys.

Interesting, it even feels a bit timeless. Political borders can produce some contrasting and unintended results.

Spent some time in Stateline a few summers ago. Fantastic area. Spendy, but it was a cool area to visit. The lake and surrounding mountains are gorgeous.

Pretty cool they landed themselves an ECHL team.

I've stayed at that MontBleu...err...Bally's. The best part was, ya know, Lake Tahoe.

I absolutely adore Lake Tahoe. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been- both in summer and winter. I also enjoy that Stateline is there to provide some nightlife and urban amenities to the area. The club in Harrah's is actually super fun!

I love that there used to be a Sahara Lake Tahoe. That's like saying 'jumbo shrimp' or 'military intelligence'.
