Maybe they're just testing the market and will add some highrises in another phase? (I can dream.)

Right down the street from this development they just installed a crane. Does anybody know what is going in there? This development is at Green and Lake Ontario, the development with the crane is at Millen and Lake Ontario.

Also has construction started on the one in this thread? I know ive seen trailers on site, thread still says proposed.

Those look surprising western. Reminds me of stuff they had in Banff area (although Gatineau does have a few similar buildings too).

Yeah the dark colour palette and 3/4 storey height and wide footprint looks distinctly Western Canada. I spent time in Canmore/Banff and a lot of the new developments around there look like this
