A fun final stretch and exciting 2026 forthcoming.

Love F1, would love to see a night race in the summer at area 27 in the Okanagan, but likely won't happen unless the US gets bored and starts watching the most boring racing there is, Nascar.

Not stoked about the Canadian GP moving to May, seems a bit risky weather wise...

Also, Go Norris!

Haha, I root for the "old" underdog, Alonso. It's really tough being an AM fan. It's kinda fun watching the front-runners, McLaren, implode, though. But I'm thinking they can still eke it out.
Max might be one of the greatest talents in F1, as much as I dislike him. His ability to drive a car (and very well) that so many others have failed at is impressive.

Max is probably top 5 drivers all time. I used to think he is a dick, but have warmed to him in recent years. I hope Red Bull completely implode though, Marko is a racist dick who should retire on a beach somewhere.

Would love to see AM do well as they are basically a Canadian team, but Lance has to go, he's brutal!

Max has been P1 three times and P2 twice out of the last 5 races. So he's definitely finishing the season strongly.

With 5 more races (and 2 sprints) to go, if Max can keep the momentum, it would be absolute cinema if it came down to the last race in Abu Dhabi, with Oscar, Lando, and Max having a shot to win the WDC.

Agreed. And I'm glad Horner is gone. He made Toto look like a teddy bear (I think Toto seems like a genuinely positive guy and super supportive of his team, too!).

Same. I'm mildly curious as to how the '26 car works out with Newey... with all the reg changes it's gonna be a major reset. Other than living his dad's dream, I'd like to see Lance drive a more competitive car, just to see what happens. I don't expect podiums out of him, for sure, but he's never really raced for any other team...

FWIW, as much I love Yuki, I think he's even statistically worse than Stroll, somehow. My wife is watching the first few seasons of DTS right now... and keeps commenting "these guys are just a bunch of immature, cocky punks with not much personality". I can't completely disagree, haha. It's a weird situation where you basically put a "barely adult" (cough: kimi) in a 20mil fighter plane and say "try not to die or kill anyone while making decisions faster than humanly possible". It's kinda nuts when you consider it.

Concur about the time switch for the Canadian GP. It's gonna suck. Glad I went to the race this past June. The vibe won't be the same in May.

Not a Norris fan, to be honest....

More of a Max fan. No one has his skills on track. He's definitely one of the best F1 drivers ever. The praises you hear from the current F1 drivers and the fact that not one of his teammates (and the list is long, as it includes Ricciardo, Albon, Gasly, Perez and Yuki) can even come close to his results is a testament to how good he is.

I agree. I would put him top 3 currently. If he wins this year, with an inferior car, he goes top of the list in my book. Who else has done that?

It's shaping up to be an epic finish.

And how!

This weekend is ... going to be nuts. When is the last time we've had a 3 way fight for the championship coming down to the last race?

Ya F1. I don't exactly set the alarm for some of those early morning race starts but definitely watch till the end.

I thin Max is going to win it, he's just too good and Piastri and Norris will probably crash into each other in the final race lol.

Late to thread. I like pancakes and F1 on Sunday mornings.

Was not a Max fan a few years ago, mainly because I’m a Merc fan. But have grown to like him and appreciate how really good he is. Would like to see him take it, cause I don’t think Norris is WC material. Rather see Piastri take it for the papayas.

My first choice was Piastri, but I'll take Lando, just to mix things up (After four consecutive championships for Max).

I do fully appreciate how Max is so gifted... he can wring every drop of performance out of that car. It's incredible.

So overall, I was pretty happy with the result. I'm very excited for 2026... this will be "back to square 1" for most teams and the largest "reset" since the V10 days.

Congratulations to Norris and McLaren. Been a longtime fan of McLaren, starting in 84 with Lauda and Prost. Certainly not the same team I grew up with (miss the Ron speak) but a well deserved drivers and constructors win.

A fun finale to watch and everyone doing what they could given their respective situations.

Yuki can go F off given that BS move. It's one thing to do your part and slow folks up, but that was outright a dick move and downright dangerous.

I normally love Yuki (he always brings some chaos) but that was pretty blatantly dangerous.
