with the current economic climate, you'd think all those paid jobs would be snapped up relatively quickly.

there is literally nothing out there - even the government isn't hiring

Were these all of the jobs VANOC was trying to get corporate sponsors to give people paid time off to volunteer for?

In this economy, I can only blame poor marketing on VANOC's part for this many jobs available this late.
