Nope, Liberal. Don't let the Castro avatar fool you, there's no love lost between me and socialists of any stripe.
McFadyen's campaign has been embarrassingly bad. Trying to drum up support on some fictitious crime wave that he'll somehow stop is insulting. Fixating on cutting the PST when eliminating the capital and payroll taxes would do far more for growth and employment is senseless populism. Same with his claim he'll bring the Jets back--plus he won't be able to. The man is grasping at straws; it's almost as bad as Paul Martin's losing campaign a couple years ago. The PCs honestly deserve to lose, and they'd suck if they won.
The NDP is garbage. That much is given. Their recent anti-employment regulation package shows them for the cut and run defeatists they are. Helping workers? Try fucking over every unemployed or underemployed person in the province who now won't better themselves because the cost of hiring them is higher. Manitoba will stagnate as long as they're in power. I guarantee it.
But the Liberals actually have a coherent set of policies--except for their ad hoc anti-Oliwest plan. And Gerard seems like an honest, intelligent guy. Too bad the Liberals aren't even a party here.
Let the diaspora begin. Or continue, rather. I'm past caring.
