I had to search for an investment property for some individuals in Houston. I found that the western/southwestern portions of the City of Houston have plenty of row homes. Most of these were built between 1965 and 1975 and they show an interesting side to the city. Additionally, most of these rows are in neighborhoods that can be dicey although some are in fancier zip codes like 77056, 77057, and 77024. All the photos can be found on www.har.com
relatively new row built behind the Williams Tower in Uptown
A one story rarity
The next few are newer rows Inside the Loop
another one floor
Newer row near downtown
rendering for new row on West Dallas St in the Old 4th Ward
The next few represent some of the newer developments replacing older shotgun houses just West of downtown
back to Southwest Houston
the next two show that the movement of newer rows is coming to the near east and near north sides
brand new rows on Sunset Blvd starting around $1 million
fake plastic suburban city. fake rows. the only real rows are in the northeast/midwest. no rows in the south, just attached apartments/condos. no buildings built in the sunbelt before 1962. total suck.

"Dazzled by the needles of light stitching the water, I turned to watch him watch them. I noticed his eyelashes were reflected in his eyes, like awning in windowpanes. As I tried to make sense of that reflection, I found I could not look away. His irises were brown, clouding into orange with brighter flecks around his pupils. Then it became as important not to look as to look, I feared I would be lost in rush of bronze motes."
Cool to see these -- Asked to answer quickly, I could have recalled zero rowhouses in Houston, but this thread reminds me that many Houston neighborhoods teem with these kinds of buildings.
The new row near the Williams Tower (the first image) looks sort of European. Not old European, but like new European infill (which exists; I see it daily).
Nice tour. Redeem your city after the debacle of that recent thread that got locked!

those are called 'the manhattan' and your right, they come more across as 'the paris'
Houston may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I could see myself enjoy living in one of these. Now granted I've only been through Houston's airport so technically I've haven't really visited the city. Yet somehow I think there are plently of things that I personally would find likeable about the city based on the many photos threads. About the only thing I wouldn't like is the heat/humidity, so it just means I would have to visit late fall, or winter months.
