Site C Dam in NE British Columbia

this dam is set to open next year. It has been under construction for a few years at a cost of $16 billion. This is the 3rd dam in the area hence the name, the first dam is one of the worlds largest earth filled dams WAC Bennet Dam and the second is the Peace Canyon Dam which is 23 km down stream from the WAC Bennet Dam, the reservoir is called Dinosaur Lake due to Dinosaur footprints that were flooded when the reservoir filled up.

Full info here: https://www.sitecproject.com/

This is a recent video of the reservoir being filled. As someone who grew up in the area its very interesting to see something that has been talked about since I was a kid and went to spots along the river for picnics, camping etc and drove the old highway dozens of time, so strange to see it all underwater now.
