A photo I took prior to moving to Arizona back in 2012. Don't know whatever happened to the unedited version.

For those who don't know, there's a fantastic Facebook page called Vintage San Antonio that posts nothing but cool old photos of SA:

Wow the old mast on the Tower Life building looks a lot taller than I remember it being. Or is that an optical illusion?

I think it's one of those white and red antennas in front of it.

I was thinking the same thing. It caught my eye at first, but I assumed it was one of the tv towers. I didn't realize those towers were that old.

Here's the biggest size of that photo, and you can sort of make out the tv tower.

Marriott Rivercenter under construction in 1987. This also shows the mall under construction. Lots of cranes. I'm pretty sure the Weston Centre would have had its cranes up by then.

^^ I saw George Gervin score 48 points in the Hemisfair Arena once. And a whole bunch a whole bunch of other times. I also saw the San Antonio Blurs score 139 one night, saw the Spurs play the Showtime Lakers in the playoffs several times, every NBA game Larry Bird ever played in San Antonio, Dr. J, Moses Malone, Stockton and Malone, even John Havlicek. I also saw the Globetrotters and the Ice Capades there. I even saw a lucky Spurs fan make the $1,000 half court shot!

Anybody have access to the top floor of the Broadway Bank at East Elmira and McCullough? Because... the view. Damn.

Or the skybridge between Metropolitan Methodist Hospital and the Metropolitan Professional Building?

Old sa colonnade pics ???

Hey folks, I am realllllly on the hunt for some 1980s-1990s shots of the Colonnade (anywhere in that shopping centre) and especially the interior of the old Albertson's that is now SLC.

This is purely for nostalgic childhood reasons...I'm also really wanting to find any pics of the old video store that was once in that Albertson's.

I know this might be a better fit on reddit but....I can try!

Here are a few photos I came across of the M&S Tower's construction.

http://gwmitchell.com/lifting-san-an...o-new-heights/

Also, this is pretty neat. It talks about the restoration of the Tower Life Building's top.

What streets are you referring to, and what is SLC? Salt Lake City?
