yup, casino is mentioned below -- hey as an incentive they would get a free ny wheel parking garage out it, but anyway we'll see ... i suppose for now let it all be a cautionary tale for the harlem wheel plans.

“Coming off the heels of Mayor Adams’ State of the City address and the announcement for the North Shore Master Plan, we’ve heard from the community, and this is the time for a renewed focus on the New York Wheel site. We are working in close collaboration with Councilmember [Kamillah] Hanks and Borough President [Vito] Fossella on next steps for the future of the site and look forward to what the future holds for the North Shore,” said NYCEDC President and CEO Andrew Kimball.

NEXT STEPS
So what’s next? After Borough President Vito Fossella and Councilwoman Kamillah Hanks (D-North Shore) asked the city to come up with a new plan, Mayor Eric Adams said the city would embark on a North Shore Master Plan. Prior to Adams’ announcement, Fossella pitched building a casino on the site after the state said New York State Gaming Commission would be issuing three Class III licenses to create three full-service casinos in the downstate region.
The NYCEDC will soon issue a request for proposals (RFP) for a new project to be built on the Wheel site. The agency said it will work with elected officials and the community about the best use for the property. The new developer will likely have to get creative to utilize the four 100-ton pedestals in a new blueprint for the site.
