Huron College - 300 Student Residence (Under Construction)

They had the ground breaking today for the new 6s residence building at Huron College to house 300 students.

The tower crane is up and excavation for the foundation is already underway. It appears that Ellis-Don may be the general contractor on this build.

They have made a lot of progress with this building. Looks like they have now poured the ground floor slab and have also poured some of the ground floor walls and posts as they have started forming for the 2nd floor slab as well.

Tower crane is still on site as the 6s building has now been topped out for a while now. Exterior shell walls are now mostly complete as well. Should see exterior wall insulation board and prep for exterior brick veneer installation soon.

Finishing touches on the exterior brick and siding on this 6s residence building. Would imagine alot of progress on the interior finishing as well in preparation for the Fall term in September.
