Wow, I had forgotten about Frankfurt! How far along are the under construction towers? I know the Ingels tower just recently got started, but there are some really interesting ones beyond that.

I've just updated this thread and it now contains all buildings above 50m (164ft) that are either under construction (Post #1) or already approved (Post #2).

Now there's some interesting architecture, I must say! Thanks for uploading those photo's, I haven't been to Frankfurt since January, 1991.

UNStudio Wins Architectural Competition for Frankfurt Deutsche Bank Site
Quote:
The former Deutsche Bank site in Frankfurt, which has been inaccessible to the public for over 45 years, will be redeveloped into a four-tower complex, with UNStudio at the helm of the design. The Dutch architectural practice was selected as the winner for the urban strategy of the site last year and has now heightened their victory by being selected as the winner of the architectural competition for the site's redevelopment.

Guten Tag.
This week I travelled to Nuremberg Germany for a trade show, and the DB train from the Frankfurt airport brought me first to the main Frankfurt Hbf station. These are the best shots I was able to get out the window. No idea what any of these projects are, but there are lots of tower cranes.

As a note, there is a lot of construction happening in Nuremberg too, all midrise.

For those reading this in Germany, what's up with all the "Becky und Stace" graffiti tags?
