So I have been reading this forum for years and just noticed this section. I am so excited to see that this section exists.

No my knows that there are others who spend building models on sketchup.

Take a minute please to view some of the models I have done over the years. Imput is very welcomed and appreciated

Dubai Style

Federal Office Building

And some of the more recent ones.....

So what do you think? favorites? Highly dislike?

Very cool , any plans to make a full city ?

I like the one with red stripe and the 2 storey is very unique

no 3 the concept is good but a bit of tweaking it could look better

I like the tower with the single red vertical band and the partial view of the building directly below, with the angled struts over the glass behind. I think you should make a city as well, they'll look cool together!

The reason that I haven't done a city is because the computer that I used to build the models that are near the top of the thread was too slow to handle it. Now that I have a badass Imac, I may try it. I like the idea.

I like the stuff at the end. (Actually, I like it all. ) Is some of the stuff college work, or is it all just for fun? There's a ton of detail.

This one would looks better if the towers were taller and the thing in the middle was gone!

This one is fine: Reminds me of Miami.

This one would look awesome detailed. Like a musem or something

This tower must have taken forever to complete unless you copied and pasted.

I actually start school on Monday (first year undergrad at NewSchool of Architecture and Design in SD,CA).

Some of the models have been used in portfolio, but no schooling yet.

Aleks01 I have done a few variations of the building with the center, here is the taller variation of this building.

as for the one that you think looks like a museum, that was as result of a hypothetical development in my hometown of Provo, UT. The center building was an office building and the sides were condos with businesses below. The building behind the main portion is a parking garage for this model.

A few more pics of some of the better models

front of the condo

pipes hidden behind wooden facade

Here is another office tower done (inspired by water towers) all the floors are above a massive open air atria with a suspended air lobby (glass floor included)

one more view from the top of the slim residential tower

The red on the side and top of the building would be lit up bright at night...you can imagine how cool eh?

You have a good future ahead of you from the looks of it.

Favourite would have to be the apartment building with the red stripe!
