Filings are in for a new tower across from the large Fordham Landing development. This would be taller than either tower there.

Dynamic Star Files Plans for 329-Unit Tower at Fordham Landing South Amid Bankruptcy

BLDUP
Apr 01, 2026

Quote:
Dynamic Star has filed plans with the New York City Department of Buildings for a 329-unit residential tower at 360 West Fordham Road in the Bronx’s University Heights neighborhood. The filing, submitted on March 25, 2026, advances the Fordham Landing South portion of the broader multi-phase development, calling for a mixed-use building with residential units, community facility space, and structured parking.

The proposal comes as the development site remains in bankruptcy, after Dynamic Star filed for Chapter 11 protection in recent months to halt a potential foreclosure. Despite the financial distress, the developer is continuing to move forward with entitlements, signaling an effort to preserve value and maintain control of the project.

Just hearing about this. Very interesting. I still wouldn't bet on the riverfront project getting out of the ground though.

^ It’ll happen, even if under a different developer. Waterfront location, plus the push for housing.

Different part of the Bronx here, but it’s wrapping around.

Yes, I meant Dynamic Star won't be able to do it, not that the waterfront will never be developed. I don't see how a company that filed for bankruptcy twice can pull this off though. I'm actually hoping for a different developer anyways that will bring in a higher caliber architect and hopefully add some ambition in the height department. I'd love to see a row of 50 floor towers on a connected base.
