Red face TORONTO | 145 Wellington St. W. | 773 FT | 65 FLOORS

This was announced in 2019, but never added here in Proposals.

Credit to UrbanToronto for the pics and info:

Quote:
145 Wellington West is a proposed 65-storey office, retail, and residential rental tower on the southeast corner of Wellington and Simcoe Streets in Downtown Toronto. Developer H&R REIT has hired Turner Fleischer Architects to design it.

From the developer:

Currently an office building, 145 Wellington St. W. could do much more to reflect the dynamism of the Entertainment District and Financial District neighbourhoods, as well as update the quality and features of our office space to meet the modern demands of tenants.

Uniquely positioned on the edge of two of Toronto’s most commercially and culturally significant neighbourhoods, the redevelopment of 145 Wellington St. W. will weave together a mix of commercial, residential and amenity uses, in order to become truly reflective of its vibrant surroundings, and to take the next step in the evolution of our property to reflect the incredible changes our City and this neighbourhood have seen since it was originally developed.

Hard to believe there isn't a thread for this already, but I searched thoroughly.

Info and renders thanks to UT.

Actually, there is already a thread for this, started 4 years ago by me. I just couldn't find it. Would it be possible for this site to improve its search engine? It didn't show up via a search here or a Google search.

Please delete this thread.

I ended up merging the two as your post has an update on this.

I'm not sure why improvements here are hard to come by.

I'm sorry about adding to your workload, Urbannizer, but rest assured that I do my level best to ensure I'm not starting a thread where one exists already. I have even started resorting to ChatGPT.
I think in a few instances name changes are the cause of duplication. Someone, possibly me, may have started a thread 10 years ago for something called 153 So-And-So St., and then the proposal is renamed The So-And-So, thus not to be found by searching.

I still have a few 600-ft+ Toronto proposals to add, which is surprising because there haven't been many new proposals in the past 1-2 years, and I already did a thorough proposal dump about a year ago.

The bottom 3/5 of the newer rendering looks cool. The top 2/5 not so much. The top needs a taper, an additional setback, or... something.

Don't ask people not to debate a topic. Just stop making debatable assertions. Problem solved.

No worries. I've discovered what makes it so difficult.

Any city tagged in the Global Project & Construction section, it won't show tags for said city beyond two pages. This is something only an admin can change unfortunately. Hopefully it’s an easy fix—I’ve reached out to Admin.

Thanks a lot. Re: the search engine, it's peculiar that when I search a specific project, if a thread already exists, sometimes it will show up down the page or on the next page. One would expect it to be at the top of the page, or ideally come up as the only result.
