That is beyond a snoozefest, that is just plain ugly.

I live very close to this building

Ignoring the particular design for a minute, "glass boxes" would actually do this area well, as by far and large all you see here are concrete structures (generally rental buildings from 20+ years ago), actually even the few new condos in the area have been predominately precast.

So glass would actually provide some nice contrast !

I'm shocked that this is architectsAlliance. It's just too clumsy to be their style.

I like the white on the balconies. But overall this isn't an eye catcher in the best of ways.

I still see a lot of parking lots in Yonge and Eglinton. There is plenty of room for tonnes more development.

Update! (Oct 22)

Apologies for the late update, forgot about this....thing
Anyways, I've noticed it looks more slabby then a regular point tower, here's what I mean, from yesterday:

Then a view from a 4th floor rental apt across the street:

Oh, btw, the houses for the second tower have been demoed, so now excavation is occurring for the next tower.
I lament the loss of those houses for these meh-looking towers, but this just the way the city evolves, so one can't quite complain.

I hate the height of this project, but it isn't a terrible, Kirkor design:
