- According to an FERC filing, Duke Energy would like to build a large combined-cycle gas-powered turbine power plant
- Could generate enough electricity to power over 2 million homes
- The site has access to a gas pipeline, the Yadkin River, and there are transmission lines on the north end of the Davie County property
