Looks cool. Can't wait to see the Manhattanization of Broadway, in a good way.

The support frame for the construction elevator extends all the way past the temporary steel structure on the roof.

Absolutely.

The provincial government's transit-oriented higher density rules that recently went in are really going to make major junctions and arterials way more appealing for redevelopment. They pushed through what the city was too timid to approve. I imagine the major junctions along Broadway as being these hubs of high-density tall towers, with the bustle of life; residential, office, and retail all intermingling. No more 2-storey buildings at those major hubs!

When I read the earlier post, I thought it was a simple boring self-lowering tower crane.
I did not know they were using a derrick (a high wire act), If I would have know, I would have captured the jib removal (got home at 3pm today).
I'd like to capture the removal of that temporary steel work, I'll check up on that when I get home from work.

This evening from Anchor Point 1 roof deck

When you posted the photos of the temporary steel work there seems like there is some kind of square steel parts off to the side. I don't see the diagonal cross bracing but I wonder if it was connected with the derrick crane.

Purchased it in 2019, this model those not have manual focus, the auto focus is good enough for what I use it for.

I'm looking for the 'seems like there is some kind of square steel parts...' and I now notice on the right side of the elevator run off, derrick crane parts, 2 mast segments, one up right and another on its sides.
