Yeah,
The one on the left is more symmetrical.
The one on the right is more ad hoc.

One city that comes to mind though with colourful buildngs is St. John's.

Worked on this project (7557 Oak St.) From Aug 10, 2021 to June 16, 2022 (about 10 call-outs).
Was pleasantly surprise on the out come, liking the color.
I will always remember coring for a missing drain in 2 window wells, one of the toughest cores I"ve done.

Isn't it harder to steal from a mailbox that isn't hidden away?

It's like a PMT or streetlamp for my teams. It goes where it goes. A 4 foot fence / gate in a mews would still get nicked as easily.

Commercial & Adanac (behind Uprising Breads) under construction. I know there's an application for social housing beside this site at 1656 Adanac but can someone remind me if this building is market or social housing?

Makes sense even if it is that weird little stub of Commercial Dr due to the bend around the Kettle property.

Holy crap! Is Solterra serious about pricing for Italia at Fir and 7th? Asking almost $1 million for a 473 sq/ft one bedroom, next to a ramp off the Granville Street Bridge and across from supportive housing? Who thinks it will actually get built?

At least with a two bedroom you can pretend it is livable, even if all you can get in the bedrooms is a double bed.

I cam across this newbuild apparently abandoned mid-construction on York between Cypress and Arbutus with a For Sale sign out front. Interest rate casualty?

On Google street view construction has just barely begun in January 2022, only construction fencing is up and the lot is empty. So, I'd guess it's been sitting for at least a year.

The Hawthorn at 8725 French Street in Marpole by Brightside Homes. 100 units replacing an older 46 unit walk-up.

It's weird how Marpole is kind of a forgotten West Side neighbourhood yet it must contain a big chunk of Vancouver's affordable rental stock. The form of this rental was across the street caught my eye.

Fifteen infill rental townhouses taking the place of an evangelical church in Kits. I would have thought this triangular site would have a street address on the Kitsilano Diversion but it is listed as 2715 West 12th Ave.
