Are we talking about 2 different areas here? I'm unsure if the discussion is about Robie St, the area near the DT Halifax ferry terminal, or the Dartmouth side.

I was responding to ILikeBikes' comments about Robie... Jet replied to me, but referenced the Historic Properties/ferry terminal/Law Courts area... so seems like a couple different areas.

My bad, but in my defense this thread has been all over the map. I was referring to the Halifax Law Courts area on the waterfront, a dreadful area.

It really is not good. From what I posted on the previous page, it looks like everything around the Law Courts will be changed, except the Law Courts building.

Hopefully it will be much more inviting and functional, but other than the vague information I posted, I haven't seen anything in terms of renderings, plans, details, etc..

It's a little disappointing that Salty's and Pickford & Black will have to vacate by the end of September. If it follows the same as O'Carroll's, that was located within the facade now called RBC Waterside Centre, those restaurants will essentially be put out of business, or at least never to return to these locations. Probably the same can be said about tenants in the Historic Properties mall.

Anyhow, without more information, this is just speculation on my part. We'll see what happens, as usual. The area definitely needs an upgrade, and the new ferry terminal will change things greatly as well.

Nice to see the Bayers and Young project is nearing completion. The apartments and townhouses on Young Street have been occupied since last year. The Bayers Road facing building has been gradually moving in tenants since May 1.

The commercial spaces are listed here https://www.cbre.ca/properties/retai...scotia-b3l-2b1

The former RCMP property on Oxford Street was covered in this thread https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=240522 until the Province bought it for a French school.

A rendering of the school appeared in an article in The Coast a few months ago https://www.thecoast.ca/news-opinion...ember-31964023 . It appears the 'Stop the build' effort wasn't successful as the school is now under construction - steel beams framing out the three story structure are now assembled.

Another one for Pleasant Street corridor;

181 PLEASANT STREET, DARTMOUTH - 8 FLOORS - 123 UNITS. Grade Alteration Permit submitted for the triangle lot at Southdale Avenue.

This makes five projects of 7-8 floors along the eastern side of the street between civics 171 and 351 with a sum of 591 residential units.

Formerly a gas station. Empty lot for many years. Busy roads on all 3 sides.

People were buying condos with a small down payment and then renting them after completing the purchase.

Condos/apartments....it does not matter because the cost to the consumer is too high.
